Finance

The Finance Section is responsible for payroll, accounting, project finance and financial management. We help ensure that NIVA complies with statutory requirements and has sound systems and procedures in place for the financial monitoring of the institute’s activities.

The section assists with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and providing advice to senior management, the board and project managers. We are also responsible for invoicing processes, payroll administration, time recording and monitoring project finances throughout the project lifecycle.

Our staff have expertise in accounting, payroll, management accounting, project finance and financial management. The section manages and further develops NIVA’s financial systems, provides training and project support, and works closely with research sections and support functions to ensure sound financial control and decision-making support.
