The main project objective wss to analyze the combined effects of hydropower on the river ecosystems and develop a National methodology for classification of river sections as eligibility for the construction of HPP.

Project period: 2015 - 2016

FAIRWAY - Farm systems management and governance for producing good water quality for drinking water supplies

The FAIRWAY project aims to review approaches for protection of drinking water resources against pollution by pesticides and nitrate, and develop innovative measures and governance approaches for effective drinking water protection.

Project period: 2017 - 2021

HydroSun

Hydrosun aims to develop knowledge enabling efficient design and operation of hydro-FPV HyPPs.

Project period: 2021 - 2024

OPTAIN

Optimal strategies to retain and re-use water and nutrients in small agricultural catchments across different soil-climatic regions in Europe.

Project period: 2020 - 2025

SusWater

SusWater (Sustainable governance of river basins with Hydropower production) focuses on water management in regulated rivers. The project looks at various avenues towards a more unified water management that is accepted both locally and nationally, while international obligations are met.

In combination, solar power, hydropower and batteries can provide large amounts of renewable, stable and affordable energy. The HYDROSUN project is developing hybrid power plants based on these three solutions.
